With Lee Cooper: Liveryman, Freeman of the City, and Veteran London Cabbie

Experience London through the eyes of a true local. I’ve spent over 30 years navigating these streets as a London taxi driver, and now I’m stepping out from behind the wheel to show you the heart and soul of my city. Whether you want to see the world-famous icons or find the secret corners only a Cabbie knows, I’ll help you discover the London you've always dreamed of.

Customise Your Day

London is vast, and you can’t see the whole city in one go! Instead, we will focus on specific, character-rich areas that fit perfectly into your schedule. I offer three flexible durations tailored to different paces and routes:

  • The 4-Hour Taster: Perfect for a focused look at a single historic hub.
*Example Route:* The Royal West End – A crisp walk covering Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, St. James’s Park, and Buckingham Palace.

  • The 6-Hour Explorer: Gives us breathing room to bridge two contrasting neighbourhoods.
*Example Route:* Liquid History – Following the River Thames from the South Bank (Shakespeare's Globe and Borough Market) across Tower Bridge to the historic Tower of London.

  • The 8-Hour Grand Tour: Our most comprehensive option, allowing us to weave through multiple districts with time for a proper sit-down lunch.
*Example Route:* City to West End – Tracing London's evolution from the ancient Roman walls of the City, through the vibrant energy of Covent Garden, and finishing amidst the royal grandeur of Westminster.

I'll meet you at a pre-arranged location that suits you—whether that’s your hotel in the West End, a coffee shop in the City, or a landmark in East London.

The Big Icons & Hidden Gems

We’ll cover the "Must-Sees"— Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, and the Tower of London. But the real magic is in the details. We might swing by the vibrant graffiti of Leake Street Arches, admire the timber-framed Shakespeare’s Globe, or walk the historic cobbles of Borough Market.

Expert Insight & Local Lore

As a member of the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers and a Freeman of the City of London, I’ll share the history, culture, and "insider" stories you won't find in a guidebook. We’ll move at a leisurely pace with plenty of stops for photos, coffee, and soaking in the atmosphere.

Tailored to You

This is your day. Want to see the Abbey Road crossing? Interested in the Tudor history of Artillery Lane? Or perhaps a pint at Dirty Dicks, home to London’s oldest Georgian shopfront? Just say the word.

I can even blend elements of my other specialist tours to create a day that is uniquely yours.

  • Flexible Finishing: We can end the tour back at your hotel, at a recommended restaurant, or right at the doors of a West End theatre.

  • Entry Tickets: While we’ll see many attractions from the best vantage points, entry tickets must be booked in advance online. I’ll provide all the history and context outside, but I do not guide inside the monuments.

  • Food & Drink: Lunch stops are built into the full-day tour, with snack breaks on shorter routes. I’m happy to point you toward the best local pubs and hidden cafes.

  • Comfort: London is a walking city! Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for our "predictable" unpredictable weather.

  • Group Size: If your party is larger than 12, please contact me directly for a bespoke quote.
