Guiding in Harley Street wearing suit, leather jacket, scarf and pink tie

I am a former London black cab driver, having passed the famous ’Knowledge of London’ in 1987, and am proud to be associated with such history and tradition that goes back to the mid-seventeenth century.

A selfie with Gary Lineker.

One of the hardest tests in the world, the ‘Knowledge’ requires individuals to memorize an extensive database of London streets, landmarks, and public transportation routes - and has been compared to earning a university degree.

Now join me on my "Cabbie Walks" city walking tours and experience my enthusiasm for London.

I was born and raised here, and have a deep love for this special city, and enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion with my valued guests.

Iconic landmarks, hidden gems or movie themes - my tour activities are historically factual, but also fun and entertaining.

If you have seen me on the Travel Channel or another TV network, you know that I am passionate about hosting tours and my storytelling is extremely engaging.

My classic and themed tours are designed to appeal to a variety of interests and a diverse age-range of guest, and I am also happy to customise any tour based on your bespoke interests and requirements.

Allow me to bring London’s story to life with some street alchemy, and you can take home a memorable tour experience!

Our customers say...
"I went on Rob's James Bond tour recently and found it very entertaining. Rob is a great story-teller and it was a delightful way to spend the morning. Even better it ending in a pub (opposite the MI5 building) so it finished with a nice relaxing pint of Guiness."
Nick, Manchester UK
"Rob, thanks for leading such an epic James Bond London Walking Tour! We all had a blast reliving our favourite scenes at iconic filming locations like the MI6 headquarters and Downing Street. Your witty 007 puns and insider trivia kept us laughing and learning throughout the tour. The quiz question had us all racking our brains, and you truly made it a memorable day. I’ll certainly recommend you to my friends."
Martin W.
"Recently I went on Robs James Bond Tour. I went with a group of friends on a cold dreary January day. Rob was a a great guide. Apart from being knowledgable and patient, he was warm and funny. As well as providing information about the Bond locations he also told amusing and interesting stories. I especially enjoyed when he ‘went off subject’ launching into another chapter of his wide knowledge about London and its history. We all thoroughly enjoyed the tour and I would go on another and recommend this to anyone interested in James Bond and London."
Susan O’Reilly
"This was my first time on a London guided tour – we did the James Bond tour around Whitehall/Embankment/Pimlico. It was great fun seeing all the locations that have appeared in the 007 films. Rob came armed with a folder full of pics from the films so you can see exactly how the locations appeared in the scenes. His knowledge is brilliant, and he dropped in some general historic info about the areas we walked through. A lovely way to spend a few hours seeing the sites."

"What better way to spend an afternoon in London, than seeing the sights through the eyes of James Bond, expertly guided by our quartermaster Rob Woodford. Our tour took us to many of the locations where not only the Bond movies had been filmed, but where Sir Ian Fleming had frequented. We received an experts view on London and its relationship with the famous double O agent. Rob’s knowledge was extensive and delivered with warmth and wit. Culminating with some fine ales in one of London’s historic pubs. I would thoroughly recommend this tour. "
