Terms & conditions
Terms and Conditions: For Tourists
Your use of our website and services is subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. About Our Service and Role
This website operates purely as a search, discovery, and booking facility to allow you to find and book tours directly with independent private tour providers in the UK ("Tour Providers").
We operate strictly as an independent booking agent and administrative intermediary. We do not own, operate, manage, control, or provide any of the tours, vehicles, or guiding services listed on this website.
We provide information about the providers' tours on this website. We may also contact you directly to ask for feedback about any tours you book or enquire about to ensure our service is the best possible available for yourselves and our other visitors. We ask you for the minimal information required to provide our service. Information about tours and bookings is passed to the relevant Tour Provider in order for them to provide their service. Your contact information is retained by us to ask you about your views on our service and the service of any Tour Providers you book or otherwise engage with via our website.
2. Tour Categorisation
Each provider has their own terms and conditions which will apply to you when you book a tour with them. Details of these are provided to you at the time of booking. Tours are categorised by type:
Black Cab: These are driver-guided. Some drivers will enter attractions and guide within, while others do not. Please enquire specifically.
Black Cab with Step-on Guide: These have a driver and a fully qualified tour guide who accompanies you throughout the tour.
Walking Tours: These generally have a Blue Badge Guide or an expert in the subject of the tour.
Chauffeured Tours: These are driver-guided. The driver does not enter attractions but can provide background information during the drive and stops.
Minicoach with Step-on Guide: There is both a driver and a qualified tour guide on these tours.
3. Orders, Payment, and Contracts
You book your tours directly with the Tour Provider and pay the Tour Provider according to their schedule of payment (e.g., deposit and balance at specific times prior to the tour or on commencement of the tour).
A binding contract for the supply of tour services is formed directly between you and the relevant Tour Provider upon confirmation. Your contract is with the Tour Provider you book with; we are not a party to that contract, nor are we responsible for the delivery, quality, safety, or execution of the tour services.
4. Cancellation
Please check the specific cancellation requirements and policy of the Tour Provider you book your tour with.
5. Package Travel Regulations Exemption
Unless explicitly stated in writing for a specific bespoke itinerary arranged directly by us, bookings made through this website are individual, single-component day tours supplied directly by third-party Tour Providers. Your booking does not constitute a "Package" or "Linked Travel Arrangement" under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018 created or organised by us, and we do not accept liability as a package organiser.
6. Dispute Resolution & Goodwill Negotiations
Use of our platform by Tour Providers is by invitation only, and we regard our service as a collection of the best tour providers in the business.
If there is a problem with your tour we may, at our sole discretion and without assuming any legal liability or obligation, act as a voluntary intermediary to help negotiate a partial refund, compensation, or goodwill payment from the third-party Tour Provider. Such assistance is offered as a complimentary service.
Any partial refund or goodwill offer secured by us on the client’s behalf is strictly subject to the following conditions upon acceptance:
Full & Final Settlement: Acceptance of the agreed sum constitutes full and final resolution of the complaint, and the client agrees that no further claims arising from the specified incident will be pursued against the Tour Provider or us.
Public Disparagement & Social Media: Goodwill negotiations are conducted on the basis of amicable dispute resolution. The client agrees that they will not post, publish, or share false, misleading, or disparaging statements regarding the incident on social media platforms, online review sites, or public forums once a resolution has been agreed upon and accepted. We reserve the right to withdraw intermediary negotiation support if public disparagement occurs prior to or during the resolution process.
7. Limitation of Liability
1. Intermediary Services: Our legal responsibility to you is limited strictly to the provision of our website search, booking referral, and administrative facility.
2. Exclusion of Third-Party Actions: To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss, damage, injury, delay, cancellation, extra expense, or inconvenience caused by the acts, omissions, default, or negligence of any Tour Provider, driver, guide, or other third party.
3. Accuracy of Information: While we endeavour to ensure that tour descriptions, images, and details provided by Tour Providers are accurate, we accept no responsibility for errors, omissions, or subsequent route/itinerary changes made by Tour Providers.
4. Financial Limit: In any circumstance where we are found liable to you for a failure in our service as a booking agent, our total aggregate liability shall be strictly limited to a sum equal to the commission or administrative fee received by us for that specific booking, or £100, whichever is lower.
5. Statutory Rights: Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our direct negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable UK law.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms and conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes or claims), shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim.
