Hi there, I’m Lee Cooper! Join me to immerse yourself in the hidden beauty of London on a unique walking tour through the City's enchanting gardens, combined with black cab transportation to the quirky Garden Museum—right next door to the historic Lambeth Palace. Escape the bustling streets with me and discover tranquil oases like Trinity Square Gardens, steeped in maritime history, and Seething Lane Gardens, where literary figures like Samuel Pepys once roamed.

On this tour, you get the absolute best of both worlds: you'll enjoy the comfort of a black cab driven by Shane Healy (a qualified Westminster Guide himself), while I act as your dedicated, experienced head tour guide as we aim to visit as many gardens as possible.

Our exploration doesn't stop at ground level. We'll ascend to the rooftop haven of The Garden at 120 (weather permitting) for breathtaking panoramic views, and seek solace in the captivating ruins of St Dunstan in the East, a bombed-out church transformed into a peaceful sanctuary. Along the way, I'll show you the architectural grandeur of historic Livery Halls and share the unique history of the Swan Uppers, the official protectors of the River Thames swans!

Our journey continues through themed gardens dedicated to legendary figures like Dick Whittington at Whittington Gardens, and charming terraced havens like Cleary Garden at Huggin Hill, which conceals ancient Roman secrets. We'll pay homage to "Flowering Fred," the city planner who championed London's green spaces, and discover modern marvels like the Reflection Garden, which offers a picture-perfect view of the mirrored dome of St Paul's Cathedral.

memorial sculpture, garden and church.

History buffs will be enthralled as I take you through the landscaped remains of Christchurch Greyfriars, once one of the city's grandest churches. Finally, we'll find peace and reflection at Postman's Park, a beautiful haven for office workers and home to a poignant memorial dedicated to everyday heroes.

From there, we'll cross the river to visit Cross Bones Graveyard and Red Cross Garden on Redcross Way in Southwark—two incredibly fascinating places. Cross Bones is the final resting place of 17th-century "outcast" women but has been transformed into a moving space for reflection and peace. Just nearby, Red Cross Garden and its matching cottages were created by Octavia Hill, one of the brilliant founders of the National Trust.

Crossing back over the River Thames, Shane will drive us along the Victoria Embankment so we can take in the grand gardens designed by Alexander McKenzie and opened in 1875. From here, we'll visit St James's Park—the oldest of the Royal Parks—where I'll show you some of the best vantage points for views of Buckingham Palace.

To finish our adventure, Shane will take us on a final short ride to the quirky Garden Museum, beautifully housed in a historic church nestled right next to Lambeth Palace. Here, you can delve into London's rich gardening heritage, explore the latest exhibition, and even get a glimpse of gardening legend Alan Titchmarsh's jumper! The museum also features an excellent restaurant, but be sure to let us know if you want to eat there so we can remind you to book ahead, as it's incredibly popular.

This meticulously curated tour unveils the true hidden gems of the City, offering a refreshing escape and a chance to discover the stories woven into these captivating spaces. Don't miss the opportunity to experience this unexpected side of London with Shane and me—book your tour today!
