You’ll be treated like royalty on this very regal tour, that takes in Hampton Court (where the notorious Henry VIII used to live), with its outstanding gardens and elaborate maze and also Hever Castle (home to Henry's second wife - Anne Boleyn).

Sculpture through an ornate archway.

Hever Castle dates back to the 13th century. Stroll around the beautiful gardens or watch the wildfowl swimming happily in the moat that surrounds the castle.

Anne Boleyn lived here in the 15th century until she literally lost her head to Henry VIII. American millionaire William Waldorf Astor restored the castle in the 1900s, landscaping the beautiful gardens that you can still enjoy today. You can also stay here for a night of luxury, if you want to live like a Laird.

Before continuing your Tudor tour we'll stop off at a traditional English pub for a spot of lunch. We quite like the King Henry Ⅷ in Hever. It has a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. You'll get a great pint and traditional fish and chips too.

Then it's on to Hampton Court Palace, one of Henry VIII's most favourite residences (and he had a few to say the least!).

Stretching to the distance looking through railings

Hampton Court Palace is set beside a beautiful stretch of the River Thames. Built in 1514, it was once lived in by the notorious King Henry VIII (the ghost of one of his executed wives, Catherine Howard, is said to haunt the corridors!).

There’s also the world famous astronomical clock, built in 1540, stunning gardens and the Long Water canal with its fountains.

To the immediate north of the palace is Bushy Park, one of Henry's hunting grounds and now an important habitat for many species of flora and fauna. The deer can still be seen as well as notable landmarks such as Upper Lodge Water Gardens and the seventeenth century Diana Fountain-part of a landscape designed by Sir Christopher Wren.

Our experienced tour guides will help you make the most of your tour to Hampton Court Palace and Hever Castle. Travel in chauffeur-driven comfort through the beautiful English countryside. We can pick you up from your hotel, the airport or port.
