This is a great tour for people who want to experience London off the beaten path. We'll wander through narrow streets and alleyways, and discover hidden gems that most tourists never see. I'll share stories and legends about the City, and you'll learn about its rich history. I can take you to see surviving stones from the old London Bridge and a section of wooden Roman wharf, believed to date from 75AD.

Itinerary so far...
Join me on a fascinating walking tour of London's hidden gems. I'll show you the remains of the Roman Empire in London, dating back 2,000 years. We'll see the city walls, a secret Roman temple, and a Roman amphitheatre. We'll also visit sites of execution and punishment, historic churches such as Sir Christopher Wren’s St Mary-le-Bow, and even the place where Pocahontas worshipped.
We will meet at a convenient location near the City and start our tour with a panoramic view from the top of an office building. Then, we will visit some of the City's most interesting and historical pubs, where we will have time to enjoy a drink or two.
We'll also see some of the film locations that were used in making the Harry Potter movies, such as the wonderfully ornate Leadenhall Market, used for filming Diagon Alley in the first Harry Potter Film. We;ll also explore some of my favourite sights such as St Bride’s Church, fondly referred to as the ‘Journalists Church’ due to its location in Fleet Street—a hub for national newspapers. Learn about metal coffins, wedding cakes and the Founding Fathers of the United States.
If you fancy a break or a coffee en route we can stop off and I’ll tell you more interesting facts and stories about the hidden gems of London. We’ll finish the tour at an agreed location, where you can continue exploring if you wish.
This tour can be customized to fit your preferences, whether you want to change the entire route or just add a few stops. For example, you could see St Olave's Church, or the bust of Samuel Pepys. The Royal Exchange and Guildhall are both steeped in history and can be included in this tour, as can the Swan Marker and Barge Master, believed to be the first public sculpture in London ever to be commissioned by a Livery Company. I can even incorporate parts of other tours to create a truly unique experience. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to customize your tour.
Actual tour destinations may vary depending on weather and where you wish to finish your tour.
