With 30 years of experience as a London cabbie, I don’t just show you the sights; I share the deep history and local culture that only a true Londoner knows.
Door-to-Door Service
We’ll start by picking you up directly from your Central London hotel or apartment (or further afield, see 'More Options'). We aren't just driving past; we’ll hop out for photos and strolls at the best spots. And of course, we’ll break for lunch—perhaps some traditional fish and chips and a pint of real ale in one of my favourite historic pubs?
Two Experts are Better Than One
The real "secret sauce" of this tour is our two-man team. While my partner Shane—a fellow Westminster guide—navigates the traffic and handles the driving, I am free to give you my undivided attention as your dedicated step-on guide. You won't find Shane distracted by a GPS or me distracted by the road; instead, you get a seamless experience filled with expert history and my collection of witty cabbie stories.
London on Your Terms
Because we’re in a taxi, we can skip the crowds and find the "secret" London others miss. If you have a specific landmark in mind, just say the word and I’ll build it into our route.We’ll wrap up the day by dropping you back at your hotel, or any other spot in the city that suits your evening plans.
- Accessibility: Shane's London Black Cab is wheelchair-accessible and permitted in areas restricted to regular vehicles. Accommodates up to 4 passengers with luggage or up to 5 passengers without.
- Flexible Itineraries: Please note that actual tour destinations may vary depending on weather, traffic, and your preferred drop-off location.
- A quick tip: if you’d like to go inside certain monuments, I recommend booking those tickets online in advance, as some locations require them.
- What to Know: This tour includes minimal walking (20-30 minutes depending on the route and your preferences) but we recommend wearing comfortable shoes and dressing according to the weather.
