Our destination is the charming village of Chawton, Hampshire, home to the meticulously preserved Jane Austen's House Museum. This 17th-century cottage was Austen's residence during the last eight productive years of her life (1809-1817), a period in which she revised her earlier works and penned literary masterpieces such as "Mansfield Park," "Emma," and "Persuasion."
